Configuring the RTCP Listen Port
The RTCP Listen Port administered in the Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager Server must match
the default RTCP monitor server port administered on the Avaya Communication Manager
Server. Use this procedure to change the RTCP Listen Port on the VoIP Monitoring Manager
Server to match the port number administered on the Avaya Communication Manager Server.
See Configuring the System Parameters IP-Options Form
on page 41 for information on how to
determine the default server port for the RTCP monitor server on the Avaya Communication
Manager Server.
To configure the RTCP Listen Port in the Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager Server, follow these
steps:
1. Access the VoIP Monitoring Manager Server interface. See Avaya VoIP Monitoring
Manager Release 3.1 Configuration, document number 555-233-510.
2. On the Edit menu, click Options.
The Server Options dialog box displays.
3. Click the RTCP tab and enter the new RTCP Listen Port. Make sure this RTCP Listen Port
matches the default server port for the RTCP monitor server administered on the Avaya
Communication Manager Server. The default is 5005.
4. Click the OK button to save the changes and close the dialog box or the Cancel button to
close without saving.
The VoIP Monitoring Manager Server will reset the properties and attempt to re-connect to
the Windows SNMP Agent based on the new properties.
Note:
Note: Changing the RTCP port displays a warning indicating it must match the port
configured on the Avaya Communication Manager Server. See http://
www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers and your Avaya Communication
Manager documentation. It is unusual to change the listen port from the default of
5005. The default should be suitable in most situations.
