NVVPNPSWDTYPE
1 This parameter controls the type
of VPN passwords. Valid value is
one ASCII numeric digit, 1 to 4.
Values are:
1 = The password is saved in
non-volatile memory.
2 = The password is erased when
you turn off power to the
telephone.
3 = The password is all numeric
and is for one-time-use only.
4 = The password is
alpha-numeric and is for
one-time-use only.
You must set this parameter to 3
or 4 if using one-time passwords
such as SecureID from RSA.
NOTE: Setting the password type
to 3 will not let the user select
“Alpahbets” while entering
password. This might look like an
obvious choice when using RSA
secure ID tokens. However, under
some conditions the user may
need to respond back by entering
y or n in the password field.
To set the password type to 2, use
the following command:
SET NVVPNPSWDTYPE 2
