When network configuration is Auto, every time the phone restarts, it will connect to the pre-1
configured network that your administrator has set up.2
When network configuration is Manual, every time the phone restarts, it will connect to the network3
that you manually configured by Setting the network mode on page 113 or Connecting to a Wi-Fi4
network on page 115, irrespective of the pre-configured network that your administrator has set5
up.6
Note:
Any time you manually change the connected network, the phone will automatically set7
Network config to Manual.8
Procedure9
1. Press Main menu.10
2. Scroll to Settings, and press Select.11
3. Scroll to Network, and press Select.12
4. Scroll to Network config.13
The Network configuration shows following two options:14
• Auto: To automatically connect a network.15
• Manual: To manually connect to a network.16
5. Press one of the following:17
• Toggle18
• Right arrow key19
• Left arrow key20
6. Press one of the following:21

Note:
If you do not want your phone to restart and stay in the Manual mode when you switch24
Network config from Auto to Manual, press Save.25
If you switch Network config from Manual to Auto, press Save and then do either of26
the following:27
• If the currently-connected network is the same as the pre-configured network that28
your administrator has set up, the phone will not restart and stay in the Auto mode.29
• If the currently-connected network is not the same as the pre-configured network30
that your administrator has set up, the phone will prompt you for permission to31
restart before connecting to the pre-configured network.32
