Using URI dialing to make a call1

Use this procedure to dial an extension with the format username@host where the name of the3
host includes one of the following:4
• IPv4 address5
• Fully qualified domain name6
Before you begin7
Ensure that the Manual dialing feature is enabled on your phone.8
Procedure9
1. Enter the URI extension by using relevant input method for uppercase and lowercase10
letters, and numbers.11
2. Press the Call soft key to make the call.12

About this task16
Use the Priority Calling feature to provide a special type of internal call alerting for the users. The17
called party hears a distinctive ringing when the calling party uses Priority Calling.18
Procedure19
1. Before dialing, press Main menu.20
2. Scroll to Features, and press Select.21
3. If necessary, scroll down to Priority Call, and press OK, or just press the corresponding22
line button.23
4. Enter the extension you want to call.24
5. Press Enter or OK to immediately start dialing the priority call to the extension where the25
call appearance will show the incoming call as a priority call.26
Multicast Paging27
With the Multicast Paging feature, you can receive a page that will be automatically played on the28
phone. If configured by the system administrator, you can send a multicast page to a group of29
phones in the network.30
