The following view options are available for your mobility enabled friends.
Check the status of a single friend
Check the status of all friends
Request to be notified when the presence status of a friend changes.
Optionally, program the MCC 3100 for Nokia to receive automatic
presence status updates. This enables you to stay up-to-date with the
latest status information for all of your mobility-enabled friends. To switch
from manual mode (default) to automatic mode, enable Auto Update
Presence on the Systems Settings screen.
Note: Because the MCC 3100 for Nokia connects to the network for
every status update, enabling Auto Update Presence uses extra
airtime and reduces battery life.
Viewing the presence status of your friends
1. From the MCC 3100 for Nokia Main screen, select the Friends link or
Options, Friends.
The Friends screen appears.
The screen displays a list of the contacts you have designated as
friends. Check the presence of an individual friend, or of all friends in
the list. If you fail to receive a response, the friend that you are
checking may not be mobility enabled on the system.
2. From the Options menu, choose
Query Presence—to check the status of an individual friend in
the list. You must first select the friend from the list.
Query All Friends—to check the status of all friends in the list.
Alert on Presence Changes—to be alerted when the status of
friends changes. Only the next change is tracked. You must first
select the friend from the list.
The Friends screen is updated with the current presence status of
your mobility enabled friends.
