Clearing the IM history
1. From the Instant Message screen menu, select Options, Clear
History.
The IM/Call History portion of the screen is cleared and the messages
are permanently deleted.
Receiving instant messages
When you receive an instant message, you are alerted by an audible tone
and a visual alert.
• The audible tone is controlled by the device. To select a new tone,
disable the tone, or use vibrate mode in place of the tone, refer to
your device documentation.
• The visual alert is controlled by the MCC 3100 for Nokia New IM Alert
parameter. To enable or disable this parameter, refer to
“Configuring your Personal preferences” on page 35.
