New IM Alert

IM screen Yes, if tone
notification is
enabled on
the device.
If someone sends
you a message while
you are typing them a
message, their
message is added to
the IM screen. If
anyone else sends
you a message,
Received New
appears on the IM
screen.
Any other
screen
Yes, if tone
notification is
enabled on
the device.
If someone sends
you a message while
you are on a non-IM
screen, the New IM
Alert screen appears.
From here, you can
select one of the
following options:
• Reply Now—The
IM screen
appears, where
you can compose
a reply.
• Dismiss—The IM
alert is
dismissed. You
can review it later
in the logs.
• Dismiss All—All
IM Alerts are
dismissed. You
can review them
later in the logs.
