4 Search through the list to locate the user profile you want to

reset.

Database backup

To ensure that user profile information is not lost, periodically back up the

database. Nortel recommends that you configure your system to perform

an automatic backup on a nightly basis.

Back up the following files and directory:

•

data.data file

•

data.script file

•

data.backup file

•

data.properties file

•

templates directory

User-level management

After the Mobile Console application installation is complete, Nortel

recommends that users save a backup copy of their validated license key

(lsave.txt) to a safe location, such as their desktop computer. If the user

accidentally erases the license key or resets the mobile device, the user

can use the backup to reinstall the license key.

A backup copy of each user’s license key is also stored on the

administration computer in the .../AdminTool_nortel/profiles directory.

ATTENTION

A validated license key is linked to a single device. You cannot validate a

license key on one device and install the same license key on another. You

cannot install a license key on multiple devices.
