Name of problem
Dual Core Processors are not supported with BCMRD R2.4
Products affected
BCMS Reporting System Desktop
Problem description
Current implementation of BCMRD R2V4 is not supported on dual core processors of Intel. Customers will not be able to upgrade the
hardware to dual core and continue running BCMRD unless the below resolution is implemented.
Sales representatives should be aware of this issue so they don’t mislead customers into thinking they can upgrade the hardware
processor to dual core running BCMRD for performance gain.
Resolution
Customers upgrading to dual core would not be able to run BCMRD R2V4 unless they disable the dual core option in the BIOS. Thus,
a dual core computer needs to be downgraded to single core, for BCMRD to continue running.

Remarks
It has been noticed at the client side as well as during testing that with dual core enabled, real time reports tend to become
unresponsive (hang state) after some time. This can also happen with other reports as well.
