R2.8.3 4610 and 462X IP phones ignore AGC setting from settings file.

Problem description
During the boot up of a R2.8 or R2.8.3 4610 or 4621 IP telephone, the phone will not save the AGC setting from the settings file. So
for instance, if the AGC setting for handset, headset or speakerphone in the 46xxsettings.txt file is set to Disabled, the IP phone will,
after coming into service, have its AGC settings to Enabled.
Resolution
This has been resolved in IPT patch R2.879 available from the link below.
Workaround or alternative remediation
A workaround is to reboot the phone one additional time for it to save the AGC setting from the settings file.
