Name of problem

Garbage characters appear across the display on 16XX phones intermittently.

Products affected

1608 and 1616 releases R1.0.2 and R1.0.3.

Problem description

Randomly and intermittently, garbage characters will overwrite the contents on the top two lines of the 1608 and 1616 display. These

characters may also show up on the third line as well on the 1608 or 3

and 4

lines on the 1616. The only way to clear the issue is to

reboot the phone.

An example of what the garbage characters display on 16xx is shown below:

Resolution

This has been resolved with firmware patch R1.038. This patch also includes fix for keypad lock-up/unresponsive addressed in PSN

2182u.
