2.3.3.5.2 Protocol
Options: NCR ATM, AVE VSSI-PRO
Default: NCR ATM
Select the type of protocol used by the Transaction Device connected to the ADPRO FastTrace.
2.3.3.5.3 Communications Link
Options: TCP/IP (Ethernet), Direct Serial
Default: Depends on the Protocol selected.
The Protocol option defines the communications medium that is used to communicate with the device. The Direct
Serial option can only be selected when the AVE-VSSI-PRO device is chosen and refers specifically to the GP Serial
ports.
2.3.3.5.4 Connection Port
Options: GP Serial 1, GP Serial 2
Default: GP Serial 1
Select the required GP Serial port for connection to the Transaction Device.
2.3.3.5.5 Configure Connection
Clicking the Configure Connection button displays one of the dialog boxes shown.
2.3.3.5.5.1 ATM IP Address
Factory Default 0.0.0.0
The ATM IP Address is used to identify the Transaction Device as a TCP/IP network node (known as a HOST ID).
Each ATM/POS unit requires a unique IP (Internet Protocol) address. The address is divided into four (4) parts
separated by a (.), each part with a decimal range value from 0 to 255.
