5. Click Apply and let the service restart before proceeding.
6. On the Device Settings tab, enter a name for the device. This name will be used later
when configuring the system’s settings in Command.
7. Set the Channel count to the number of channels your device will use.

CII Integration
In addition to the Graphic device service (GDS), the Graphic Inventory Editor (GIE)
application is also provided with Avid iNEWS Command and may be used to manage the
inventory that Command needs to control any third-party graphics device that uses the
Chryon Intelligent Interface (CII).

Avid strongly recommends installing Avid Service Framework (ASF), the Graphic device
service, and the Graphic Inventory Editor (GIE) on the device itself. If controlling more than
one device, then ASF, the device service, and GIE should be installed on each device.
