Installing the Avid Graphic Inventory Editor
After installing the Avid Graphic device service on the graphics device, you need to install
and configure the GIE application.
n
The GIE application is not needed for Command integration with Avid Deko products or
third-party graphics plug-ins. For users upgrading from ControlAir, the GIE application
replaces data in the SYSTEM.RESOURCE queue in the Avid iNEWS newsroom computer
system.
To install the Avid Graphic Inventory Editor:
1. Insert the Command installation CD (or access the install program from the network).
The autorun installation program starts.
n
If the autorun does not begin, manually navigate to and run the
AvidGraphicInventoryEditorSetup.exe
install program from the CD.
2. Click the Avid Graphic Inventory Editor button.
3. When the Welcome dialog box appears, click Next.
4. Read and accept the license agreement, and then click Next.
