5. The default Destination folder is:
C:\Program Files\Avid\Graphic Inventory Editor\
You can change the location first or accept the default by clicking Next.
6. When the Ready to Install the Program dialog box appears, click Install.
7. When the installation is complete, click Finish. When installed, a separated icon for the
GIE is made available on the desktop or in the Start menu.
Configuring the Avid Graphic Device Service
After the installations are complete, for the integration to succeed, some additional
configuration is required, using the Avid Service Configuration application of Avid Service
Framework. For more information about the ASF application, see the Avid Service
Framework User’s Guide.
To configure the Graphic device service:
1. Click the Start button, and then select All Programs > Avid > Service Framework > Avid
Service Configuration.
2. On the Hosts tab, navigate to and select the Avid Graphic Device Service.
3. When prompted, enter the system administrator password and click OK. If you have not
yet created one, leave the space blank and click OK.
4. On the Plug-in Chooser tab, select a plug-in only if you intend to use one provided by a
third-party vender. By default this selection is set to none.

If you select a plug-in, click Apply and the let the service restart before proceeding.
