Working with Templates
A template is a graphic with a pre-set look and fields (or layers) for replaceable data, such as
text or video clips. Templates can be grouped together to form a style, such as a set of
graphics designed for a specific show.
This section provides additional details on the Templates tab in the Graphic Inventory Editor
and how to manage templates in the Command inventory. You can create a new template,
copy an existing template, or delete templates from the inventory. Although you can also add
or remove templates from a style, you must do that on the Styles tab.
n
You can also import a list of templates from a pre-existing inventory in an Avid iNEWS
newsroom computer system. Although previous versions of Command allowed for more than
one, there can be only one template name per address. For more information, see
“Importing Inventory” on page 144.
