Configuring MOS Settings in Command

ENPS roChannel Guidelines
For ENPS systems, Command supports roChannel with roCreate and roMetadataReplace in
the MOS Communication service.
Here are guidelines for using roChannel:
• Users can set the MOS Channel in the ENPS properties, and when the rundown is
loaded, video items will be assigned to that channel group. Only one entry is allowed,
and users should not set the MOS Channel to a graphic channel group; it is not
necessary.
• Users should add all channel groups that might be used to the system settings in
Command. Those settings are located in the System Settings dialog box under the MOS
category in the Channel Groups sub-category.
• The channel group assigned in the MOS Channel will be the first one displayed in the
Command playlist. Other channel groups will be to the right of it.
In this example, omAB is defined in the ENPS MOS Channel, and therefore displayed
first. Both omAB and omC are defined in the system settings in Command.
• If there are graphic channel groups, they will be displayed after the channel group set in
the MOS Channel.
In this example, the channel group omAB is set in the ENPS MOS Channel, Dekohyb is
a graphic channel group. All three are defined in the system settings in Command.
• Users can assign an individual item to a different channel group by changing the MOS
Channel in the rundown rather than the rundown properties.
If the rundown MOS Channel is set when the rundown is MOS activated, the item will
keep its channel designation. The rundown MOS Channel will not override the
rundown’s MOS Channel.
• Users can easily switch to a different channel group for a MOS Active/Ready to Air
rundown by opening the rundown properties and entering the new MOS Channel.
Before the change is made in ENPS, the operator must unlock the current channel group
in Command, and then lock the updated channel group after the change is made.
