Configuring Properties for Interplay Workgroup
The AirSpeed video server must be installed in an Avid Interplay workgroup. If it will be
controlled by Command, then the AirSpeed Multi Stream device service should be
configured to join a second workgroup—the same workgroup as the Command Servers. See
“Configuring Properties for Command Workgroup” on page 82 for more information.
To configure the properties for the Interplay Workgroup on the video server:
1. Click the Start button, and then select All Programs > Avid > Service Framework > Avid
Workgroup Properties.
2. On the Lookup tab, select the Interplay workgroup listed in the Workgroup section.

The Interplay workgroup is the same workgroup named during the installation process of
Avid Service Framework on the AirSpeed video server. See “Installing Avid Service
Framework” on page 73 for more on that procedure.
3. On the Lookup tab, click the Add button under the Lookup services section (located
above the Apply button, and not the one to the far left).
The Add Lookup Service dialog box will open on top of the Avid Workgroup Properties
window, as shown:
