4. Enter the fully qualified domain name of the server running the Lookup service for the
workgroup.
5. Leave the port setting as is.
6. Select the Expected check box.
7. Click OK.
8. (Optional) If running multiple Lookup services, repeat steps 2 - 7 to add another server
that is running the Lookup service for the workgroup.
9. Click OK on the Avid Workgroup Properties window.
10. Click Yes, when prompted to restart all services.
Configuring the AirSpeed Multi Stream Device
Service
After any device service is installed for Avid AirSpeed video servers, some additional
configuration is required, using the Avid Service Configuration and Avid Workgroup
Properties applications of Avid Service Framework.
To configure the AirSpeed Multi Stream device services:
1. Click the Start button, and then select All Programs > Avid > Service Framework > Avid
Service Configuration.
2. On the Hosts tab, navigate to and select the AirSpeed Multi Stream Device Service.
3. When prompted, enter the system administrator password and click OK. If you have not
yet created one, leave the space blank and click OK.
4. On the Device Settings tab, enable the second workgroup and enter the name of the
Command workgroup. If you are joining more than one Command workgroup, enter a
workgroup name in the third workgroup box.
5. (Optional) If the AirSpeed video server will be controlled by two Command systems,
enable the second system and enter the numerical value of that system, such as 2.
Options include 1-10. The default Command system number is 1.
6. (Optional) If using CaptureManager for ingest control, enable it and enter the hostname
of the CaptureManager server.
