Installing Avid ISIS Hardware in a Rack

Separating the Slide Rails
You need to separate the slide rails and attach the inner “movable” section to the Avid ISIS
and the outer “fixed” section to the rack rails.
To separate the slide rails:
1. Slide the slide rail completely open.
2. Press the spring clips on the slide rail as shown in the following illustration.

3. Pull and separate the two halves.
4. Repeat these steps to separate the second slide rail.
Attaching the Outer Rails to the Rack
After separating the slide rails as previously described (see “Separating the Slide Rails” on
page 35), perform the following procedure. If your mounting rails have round holes, you
first need to clip on the round hole adapter.
