Track Priority
Track Pr ior ity is defined vertically (higher Tr a c k s have higher priority). In other words, the higher tracks
encompass everything below them. This lets you apply effects at several levels (multi-layering).
Yo u c an i n s e r t an y n u m b e r o f Tr a c k s in order to create effects like keys, 2D/3D effects, etc.
To change a Tra c k’s Priority, drag its Tr a c k name in the Track Header to a different position. As you drag,
the pointer changes to show where the Tr a c k will be inserted when you release the mouse (either above or
below another Tra c k ).
Track priority changes with Track order
Track Pr ior ity plays an important role for example with keying. In a keyed clip, the clip underneath
becomes visible.
Track Pr ior ity does not apply to audio. All audio signals have equal priority, regardless of their Tr a c k
position.
