Exporting/importing EDLs
Available Formats
EDLs are alphanumeric files and do not contain any media data. This means the EDLs of even very large
Sequences with several hundred events have convenient formats and fit easily on a floppy disk. Avid Liq-
uid lets you export and import EDL files in the following standard formats:
Sony (BVE 9100)
CMX (3600)
GVG
Yo u c a n a l s o c o n v e r t EDL files from one of these formats to another, allowing you to cut the same job on
different equipment using the same source material (tapes).
Exporting EDLs
Step by Step

To ex p or t the EDL of a Sequence created with Avid Liquid:
1 In the Timeline, activate playback for the Tr a ck s to be exported. EDLs are limited to a single video
Tra c k (V) and a maximum of four audio Tr a c k s (A1 to A4).
2 Click File > Export to File > EDL.
