Using a GPI Device with the Audio Punch-In Tool

To edit a GPI setting:
1. In the Project window, double-click Deck Configuration.
The Deck Configuration dialog box opens.
2. Click the VLXi-GT text box.
3. Select the name of the GPI you want to edit.
4. Click Edit.
5. Make the applicable changes to the setting.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Apply.
The GPI setting is updated.
To delete a GPI setting:
1. In the Project window, double-click Deck Configuration.
The Deck Configuration dialog box opens.
2. Click the VLXi-GT text box.
3. Select the name of the GPI you want to delete.
4. Click Delete.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Apply.
The GPI setting is deleted.
GPI Settings Options
The following tables describe the GPI settings and GPI Node settings options.
GPI Option Description
Name Keep the default V-LAN VLXi name, or type a new name.
Description (Option) Add a description of the GPI trigger.
Device Type Select V-LAN, which is the Avid-supported device type.
Address Select the V-LAN network address to which the VLXi-GT is assigned.
Valid addresses on the V-LAN network are 16 through 19. This address
must match the internal V-LAN address.
