The system creates the new project files and folder, and returns

you to the Open Project dialog box. The project name is high-

lighted in the projects scroll list. You are ready to open the project.

Setting Film Preferences

Set film preferences in the Film Settings dialog box immediately after

you create a project in order to provide the system with important

information about the type of film and audio transfer you used for

your job. For information on film settings, see “Film Settings” on

page 92.

Selecting an Existing Project

Existing projects appear in the projects scroll list in the Open Project

dialog box.

The drive:\Avid\Avid Media Composer\Avid Projects folder is the

default location for project files.
