Avid bins function most efficiently when they contain no more than
100 clips. If you work with a lot of source material, you can create a
number of bins, each named according to the type of s hots it will con-
tain. Then you can log an optimal number of clips to each bin.
Creating a Bin
If multiple windows are open on your desktop, you must make the
Project window active before you can create a bin.
To create a new bin:
1. Do one of the following to activate the Project window:
• Click the Project window.
• Choose Project from the Tools menu, or press Ctrl+9.
2. Click the Bins button.
