Working with 3D Effects Parameters

The following illustration shows several rotation examples.
Working with 3D Effects Parameters
You work with 3D effect parameters in much the same way that you work with 2D effect
parameters. You access, manipulate, and reset 3D effect parameters in the Effect Editor in just
the same way as 2D effect parameters. You can save 3D effect adjustments as templates just as
you can 2D effect adjustments. You can use the Enlarge and Reduce buttons to zoom in and out
on the Effect Preview monitor just as you can with 2D effects. For more information, see
“Entering Effect Mode” on page 39, “Using the Effect Editor” on page 86, and “Working with
Effect Templates” on page 45.
You can also manipulate 3D effects directly in the Effect Preview monitor. For more information,
see “Manipulating 3D Effects Directly” on page 369.
For specific information on each of the 3D parameters available in the Effect Editor, as well as
important information on the hierarchy of 3D effects parameters, see “Effects Parameter
Reference” on page 610 and “Understanding 3D Parameter Hierarchy” on page 713.
Manipulating 3D Effects Directly
You can perform a number of operations on an image by clicking buttons in the Effect Editor and
dragging handles attached to the image in the Effect Preview monitor. This is similar to the
procedures you use to directly manipulate 2D effects; some additional manipulations are
possible, however, when working with 3D effects.
