Connecting to the Avid Interplay Database

It is important to type the correct computer name or IP address. This is the location
where the editing system looks to access the database and to check in and check out
Avid assets.
5. In the Settings list, double-click Interplay User.
6. In the User Name text box, type a user name.
This name must be a known user on your workgroup system.
7. Select “Automatic Login at Project Selection” if you want to log in to the Interplay
database automatically every time you open a project.
If you do not select this option, you must open this dialog box when you want to access
the database.
8. Click Login to establish the connection to the Interplay database.
The Interplay Login dialog box opens, with the server name you specified in the
Interplay Server Settings as the Host Name.
9. In the Interplay Login dialog box, type your password, and click OK.
When the blinking yellow light in the upper left of the dialog box turns green, you are
connected to the Interplay database and the dialog box closes. If you cannot log in, see
your system administrator.
10. Double-click Interplay Folder.
