Finding the Read Time of a Story

The NRCS tool does not include Closed Caption or Presenter Instructions text in the read

time. Only text marked as Normal (including bold, italic, or underlined text) is calculated.

To calculate the read time of a story:

1. Move the pointer to the Story panel.

2. Do one of the following:

t Right-click, and select Select All.

t Select a portion of the text with the mouse.

The read time appears in the upper right corner of the NRCS tool.

If you have ToolTips enabled, the current wpm rate appears in the label for the Read Time

display. For more information on ToolTips, see “” on page 1295.
