t Click the Mark IN button under the monitor to mark an IN point and stop playback.
t Press the Mark IN key when marking a clip in a bin. (The Mark IN key does not stop
playback.)
By default on United States keyboards, the Mark IN key is the I key.
In the monitor, a Sawtooth icon appears on the left to indicate the mark IN frame.

4. Continue moving through the material.
5. Mark an OUT point by doing one of the following:
t Click the Mark OUT button under the monitor to mark an OUT point and stop playback.
t Press the Mark OUT key when marking a clip in a bin.
By default on United States keyboards, the Mark OUT key is the O key.
In the monitor, a Sawtooth icon appears on the right to indicate the mark OUT frame.
To clear the IN point, do one of the following:
t Click the Clear IN Mark button.
t Press the Clear IN Mark key.
To clear the OUT point, do one of the following:
t Click the Clear OUT Mark button.
t Press the Clear OUT Mark key.
