Chapter 60: Working with Video in Pro Tools 1361
The following Project Type video resolutions are
available (depending on your media and the ses-
sion setup):
* The video output format may be displayed on the
external monitor.
QuickTime Media
When importing a QuickTime movie, the follow-
ing conditions may apply:
Pro Tools automatically sets the
Frame Rate and
Project Type on import based on the QuickTime
movie’s frame rate and resolution.
If multiple project types are possible, Pro Tools
lets you select the
Project Type from the best pos-
sible matches available.
If the frame rate is close to a whole value,
Pro Tools rounds to the nearest frame rate (for ex-
ample, 29.972 is rounded to 29.97)
For imported QuickTime media of an unknown
Project Type (such as stills or screen captures),
change the
Project Type setting to best match other
video in the session.
