Using a System Bridge
The Pro16 System Bridge is used to combine up to four Pro16 data streams for
transmission over a single Cat‑5e cable. This setup simplifies digital snakes,
saves cable, and is easy to install.
At the Pro64 1x sample rate of 44.1/48kHz, four unique streams of Pro16 data
are available from the A‑Net Systems Interface. The following example shows
the use of a System Bridge connected to the ASI.

The System Bridge allows four Pro16 devices to be connected with only one
Cat-5e cable. Each AN-16/o module outputs a unique set of channels.
Four AN16/o Output Modules are shown in the diagram above, each
connected to an ASI using a pair of System Bridges. Each AN16/o module
outputs one 16channel block of audio channels from the Pro64 system (1‑16,
17‑32, etc.). Additional Pro16 output modules can be added to create digital
splits and copies by connecting the A‑Net Out port on the AN16/o to the
