If this option is enabled, the report file can be limited to a certain size; possible values:
Permitted values are between 1 and 100 MB. Around 50 kilobytes of extra space are
allowed when limiting the size of the report file to minimize the use of system resources.
If the size of the log file exceeds the indicated size by more than 50 kilobytes, old entries
are then deleted until the indicated size has been reduced by 20% .
Backup report file before shortening

Write configuration in report file
If this option is enabled, the configuration of the on-access scan is recorded in the report
file.
Note

deleted when the report file reaches 100MB. Entries are deleted until the size of the
report file reaches 80 MB.
13.6 Parental controls
Your AntiVir program has a parental control function for filtering undesirable or illegal
Internet content and limiting Internet usage durations. The parental controls function is
part of the WebGuard component. The computer’s users can be assigned user roles. A
user role is configurable and includes a rule set with the following criteria:
– Prohibited or permitted URLs (Internet addresses)
– Prohibited content categories
– Internet usage duration and, if necessary, permitted weekday usage periods
When Internet content is blocked according to particular categories, powerful URL filter
lists are used in which URLs are categorized in content groups on the basis of the
content of the Internet pages. The URL filter lists are updated, adapted and expanded on
an hourly basis. The roles of child, young adult and adult are preconfigured with the
relevant prohibited categories.
Internet usage logs are based on Internet requests lasting a minimum of 5 minutes.
If parental control is enabled, all the web pages requested by the user while navigating in
the Internet are checked on the basis of the user role. If web pages are prohibited, the
web page is blocked and a message is displayed in the browser. If the permitted usage
duration is exceeded or if usage occurs outside the permitted period, the requested
websites are blocked. A message is displayed in the browser.
Warning
Please note that to use the parental controls function, you must enable the WebGuard
service.
Warning
Protect the configuration of your AntiVir program with a password when you enable
parental control. If the configuration is not protected by a password, all users of the
computer can alter or disable the parental control settings. Password protection is
enabled under General::Password.
If you have allocated a password for parental control, the parental control configuration
is hidden and the Password Protected button displayed.
