2 Installing Your Machine
This chapter is specifically targeted to the persons who are responsible for the
administration of @V5100. It is recommended that the administrator read this
chapter before installing the machine.
Minimum Configuration Requirements
To make the best of @V5100, the following configuration is required:
To send e-mails from @V5100:
• TCP/IP network
• A SMTP and a optional POP3 server
To file document(s) via intranet
• FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, CIFS, or AVPP Protocol environment
• Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows Me,
Windows XP, HTTP or FTP server
To make copies from @V5100:
• A PostScript-compliant laser printer
