3 Driver Software Installation
Driver software for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M2 is available for the operating systems MS-DOS,
Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows
NT.
Once installed, the driver provides the application interface
Common ISDN API (CAPI) Version 2.0 to all programs.
This CAPI driver also supports ISDN data applications
designed for CAPI Version 1.1. Please see Appendix B for
more information on the Common ISDN API driver supplied.
AVM’s software developers are constantly improving the
driver software for AVM’s ISDN-Controllers, and AVM
provides updated drivers free of charge. The latest
drivers can always be downloaded from the directory
\Cardware\M2\<operating system>\<language>\ on the
AVM Data Call Center (ADC). You can connect to the ADC
with FRITZ!data (IDtrans protocol) over ISDN or GSM at
the following number:

You can also join AVM on the Internet (www.avm.de) and
download the current drivers via FTP.
This chapter contains a section for each of the supported
operating platforms describing the installation, the loading
of the Controller for GSM and ISDN operation, the
unloading as well as the de-installation of the Controller
software.
3.1 DOS Installation
Special DOS driver software is supplied with the Mobile
ISDN-Controller.
3.1.1 Installing the Driver Software
The driver software for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M2 is installed on your computer using a simple installation
program.
