1 INTRODUCTION Thanks for purchasing the DA1200D HDCP compliant DVI distribution amplifier from Avocent. The DA1200D amplifier is designed to allow the distribution of a single DVI HDCP compliant input to two DVI HDCP compliant devices. 1.1 Features The following is brief overview the DA1200D amplifier feature set: • • • • One DVI HDCP-compliant signal can be distributed to two compliant display devices.

3 CHECKING PACKAGE CONTENTS Before attempting to use this unit, please check the packaging and make certain the following items are contained in the shipping carton: • • • 1x DA1200D DVI Distribution Amplifier 1x AC Adapter 1x Operations Manual Note: Please retain the original packing material should the need ever arise to return the unit. If you find any items are missing, contact your reseller or Avocent technical support immediately.
5 OPERATING THE UNIT Before installation, please make sure all of devices have been turned off. • • • • • • Connect a DVI-D HDCP compliant signal to the input connector using premium quality cable. * Connect 2 DVI-D HDCP compliant devices to the amplifier’s outputs using premium quality cable. ** Plug the DC power adapter into the rear of the unit. Plug the power adapter into a working AC socket. Power on all input and output devices.
