Using the Avocent DSI5100 IPMI proxy appliance, you can power up or
down an individual IPMI-enabled server from any location. You can also
monitor the health of an individual server – such as the temperature, fan
speed and voltage – giving you plenty of advance warning to trou-
bleshoot any problems. Because IPMI data is stored on a stand-alone
processor independent of the OS, BIOS and CPU, you can use IPMI
even when the operating system is unresponsive.
The DSI5100 proxy appliance also adds a layer of security to the
information you send over IP, another unique advantage from
our system.
