Verify that your speakers have built-in
amplifiers, that their power supply is
plugged in, the power switch is on, and
the volume control is turned up. Speakers
without amplifiers may result in low
volume and/or noisy audio. Check the
volume control in your PC’s software.
Check all audio cables. If your speakers
have a power switch and volume control,
they have amplifiers. Test your speakers
by plugging them directly into the
computer’s audio output jack.
LongView is designed to accommodate
standard electret microphones, the type
generally used with PCs. Dynamic
microphones will work, but will result in
lower volumes. Verify the volume setting
of your software on your PC. Try connect-
ing LongView’s audio output jack to your
computer’s Auxiliary (AUX) or line in audio
input rather than the microphone input.
Test your microphone by plugging it
directly into your PC’s microphone input.
