QuickStartGuide
Aswithanyprecision‐engineereddevice,alwaysoperatetheEMO‐3000inaccordancewiththe
manufacturer’sinstructions.
ConnecttoFlowTransmitter
YouwillconnectthreewiresfromasensortothebackoftheEMO‐3000(seesamplesinAppendi xes J,K,
L,M,andN).Inserttheelectricalpower(red),signal(white),andground(black)wirestotheappropriate
terminals.Securewithascrewdriver.
Colorofwiresmayvary.
ConnecttoDM‐3000Display
Plugoneendofthenine‐pincommunicationcableintothebackoftheEMO‐3000andtheotherend
intothebackoftheDM‐3000device(seeappendixA).
ConnecttoPower
Beforeconnectingtoapowersource,connectground,neutralandlivewirestoterminalsonbackofthe
EMO‐3000(seeAppend ixJ).TheEMO‐3000alsosuppliespowertotheDM‐3000.(TopowertheDM‐
3000separately,seepage8.)
Connectwirestobackofunitbeforeapplyingpower,
andwiretheunitonlyasdescribedonlabelonback
ofunit.

YouwillfindtheKFRandKFTfactorsontheCalibrationSheetpackedwiththeflowmeter(s).Toprogram
thesevariables,seetheQuickProgrammingsectionbeginningonpage32.

TheEMO‐3000Multi‐ChannelFlowComputerisaversatileandexpandablecontrollerandmonitorin
one.Foruseintrackingasmanyas12operations,thedevicecandisplayall12channelsonthe
(optional)screenatonetime.TheEMO‐3000helpsmaintainasteadyflowrateandmonitors
quantities.
Whenprogrammedforclosed‐loopfeedback,thedevicerevealsratedeviations,whichcanleadto
fewerre‐worksandreducedlaborandmaterialcosts.
