10 Step #8 – System Testing and Quality Control
This section describes how to test the system prior to System Acceptance.
10.1 Awarepoint Sensors
Verify that Sensors are properly secured to the faceplate.
Using the System Manager verify the following:
▪ Each Sensor has more than one path back to the Bridge.
▪ None of the Sensors that are on the map are red
▪ None of the Sensors that are unassigned are green
▪ Any unused Sensors have been deleted from the system. Use caution when
purging.
10.2 Awarepoint Bridges
Using the System Manager verify the following:
▪ For redundancy, there are at least two Bridges in each area
▪ None of the Bridges shown on the map are red
▪ None of the Bridges that are unassigned are blue
▪ Any unused Bridges have been deleted from the system. Use caution when
purging.
10.3 Awarepoint Tags
Verify that Tags are properly secured to their asset.
Using the System Manager verify the following:
▪ All Tags have manufacturer, model, asset control number, and serial number
filled in.
▪ Any Tags out of the coverage area can be explained
▪ Any unused Tags have been deleted from the system. Use caution when purging.
10.4 Accuracy Testing
1. Log into the Status Server <http://aps.awarepoint.com/status
2. Choose the site to be tested.

On the home page of the site to be tested, choose the “Accuracy Tests” link on
the top left of the page. Click on the link to perform a new accuracy test.
