3 OPERATION
3.1 Operators Tasks
The operator performs the following tasks:
• Connecting WMTS to a power source
• Handling and modifying the parameters of the WMTS and WMU devices
• Managing subscribers (WMU users)
• Monitoring system performance
• Handling events and alarms
• Downloading software updates
• Troubleshooting the system at operators’ level
The system administrator (supervisor) also manages the operators and modifies operators’
attributes.
3.2 Handling and Modifying Parameters
Different parameter tables are used for the WMTS and the WMU. The parameters tables are
accessed via the synoptic displays of the WMTS and the WMU.
The parameters selection trees for the WMTS and WMU are shown in Table 5-1 and 5-2,
respectively.
