3 BASE STATION EQUIPMENT (NON-RF)
3.1 WMTS (Wireless Modem Termination System)
The WMTS is a hub modem system that serves as a bridge between the network interface and
the subscriber’s modem operating over wireless channels. The WMTS provides the timing,
synchronization, and ranging algorithms necessary to keep the WMUs communicating with
their WMTS.
