AXISVideoMotionDetectionisanapplicationthatdetectsmovingobjectsinthecamera’seldofview.Whenamovingobject

isdetected,AXISVideoMotionDetectionsendsanalarmthatcanbeusedbytheAxisproductorbythird-partysoftwareto

forexample,recordvideoorsendanotication.

AXISVideoMotionDetection3isincludedwiththeAxisproductandisavailableunderSetup>Applications.TouseAXISVideo

MotionDetection,theapplicationmustrstbestarted.Toavoiddetectingunwantedobjects,theapplicationshouldbecongured.

Duringconguration,visualconrmationcanbeusedtohelpunderstandtheeffectofthedifferentlters.Whenvisualconrmation

isenabled,redpolygonsshowwhichobjectstheapplicationdetectsandgreenpolygonsshowwhichobjectstheapplicationignores.

Considerations

BeforeusingAXISVideoMotionDetection3,takethefollowingintoconsideration:

•MakesurethatthelightingconditionsarewithintheAxisproduct’sspecication.Addadditionallightingifneeded.

•Makesurethatthecameraisnotsubjecttoexcessivevibrations.Vibrationsmightcausefalsedetections.

•Makesurethatthecameraisnotsubjecttoexcessivevibrations.Vibrationsmightcausefalsedetectionsandunwanted

trackedobjects.
