TheAxisproductprovidesfourcongurableinputandoutputportsforconnectionofexternaldevices.Forinformationabout

howtoconnectexternaldevices,seeConnectorsonpage67.

ToconguretheI/Oports,gotoSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>I/OPorts.Eachportcanfunctionasinputoroutput:

•InputasOpencircuit–Theinputbecomesactivewhenthecircuitisgroundedby,forexample,aREXdevice.Itremains

inactiveaslongasitsnormalstateequalsitscurrentstatus.

•InputasGroundedcircuit–Theinputbecomesactivewhenthecircuitisopenedbyforexampleamonitor.

•OutputasOpencircuit–Theoutputportisinanon-conductivestatewhenitscurrentstatusisopencircuit.Thecurrent

statusofanoutputportcanbechangedby,forexample,anactionrule.

•OutputasGroundedcircuit–Theoutputportisinaconductivestatewhenitscurrentstatusisgroundedcircuit.

COMPort

TheAxisproducthasoneRS-485/RS-422serialport.Theportsupportsthefollowingmodes:

•GenericHTTPallowstheAxisproducttoreceivedataandsendcommandsviaHTTP.

•PanTiltZoomisusedtocontrolaPTZdevice.ThePTZdevicerequiresadriver.SeeInstallPTZDriverformoreinformation.

•GenericTCP/IPallowstheAxisproducttoreceivedataandsendcommandsviaTCP/IP.

TheAxisproductprovidesseveralmaintenancefunctions.TheseareavailableunderSystemOptions>Maintenance.

ClickRestarttoperformacorrectrestartiftheAxisproductisnotbehavingasexpected.Thiswillnotaffectanyofthecurrent

settings.
