AXIS 243Q Blade - Pan Tilt Zoom
PTZ controls
If the AXIS 243Q Blade has been appropriately configured, the Live View page displays the
controls available for the installed Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) device. The administrator can
enable/disable the controls for specified users.
The exact controls shown depends on the make
and model of PTZ device. The most
common controls are:
• the Pan bar - moves the camera to the ri
ght and left
• the Tilt bar - tips the camera up and down
• the Zoom bar - zooms the view in and out. Note that this is only available if the
camera is fitted with a zoom lens.
• the Iris bar - adjusts the brightness of the image.
Clicking on the bars themselves or on the arrows
at the end of the bars will move the
camera to a new position. The type of movement and the location of this new position
depends on the type of PTZ driver.
When controlling the camera using a relative
PTZ driver (see the bars in the illustration
above) the new position is relative to the previous position, that is, left of, below, above,
and so on. Clicking the bar further from the center results in a larger movement.
