Levelthecamera

Toadjusttheviewinrelationtoareferenceareaorobject,usethelevelingguideincombinationwiththedigitalrollsliderinthe

camera.

1.GotoSettings>System>Orientationandclick

2.AdjustthecamerabyusingDigitalrolluntilthepositionofthereferenceareaorobject,isalignedwiththelevelingguide.

Selectexposuremode

Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequalityfor

specicsurveillancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>Exposureandselectbetweenthefollowingexposuremodes:

•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticexposure.

•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallighting,forexampleuorescentlighting,selectFlicker-free.

Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.

•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallightandbrightlight,forexampleoutdoorswithuorescentlightingatnightand

sunduringdaytime,selectFlicker-reduced.

Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.

•Tolockthecurrentexposuresettings,selectHoldcurrent.

OptimizeIRillumination

Inmostcases,theexposureoftheimageisautomaticallyadjustedtoobtainoptimalimagequality.Ifthecameraisplacedclosetoa

walloracorner,itcansometimesresultinsaturationofpartsoftheimage.Whenthishappens,theLEDsclosesttothewallor

cornerareautomaticallydimmedtoavoidsaturatingtheimage.

Dependingontheinstallationenvironmentandtheconditionsaroundthecamera,forexampleexternallightsourcesinthescene,

youcansometimesimprovetheIRilluminationifyoumanuallyadjusttheintensityoftheLEDs.

1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andturnonAllowillumination.

2.TurnonLiveviewcontrol.

3.MinimizeSettings.
