Important
Allchangestocardformatsapplytothewholesystemofdoorcontrollers.
Youcanonlyenableanddisablecardformatsifatleastonedoorcontrollerinthesystemhasbeenconguredwithatleast
onereader.SeeConguretheHardwareonpage13andCongureReadersandREXDevicesonpage16.
Twocardformatswiththesamebitlengthcannotbeactivethesametime.Forexample,ifyouhavedenedtwo32-bit
cardformats,“FormatA”and“FormatB”,andyouhaveenabled“FormatA”,youcannotenable“FormatB”without
disabling“FormatA”rst.
Ifnocardformatshavebeenenabled,youcanusetheCardrawonlyandCardrawandPINidenticationtypestoidentify
acardandgrantaccesstousers.

DescriptionEnteradditionalinformationasdesired.ThisinformationisonlyvisibleintheEditcardformatandAdd
cardformatdialogs.
Bitlength(required)Enterthebitlengthofthecardformat.Thishastobeanumberbetween1and1000000000.

Name(required)Entertheeldmapnameunspaced,forexampleOddParity.
Examplesofcommoneldmapsinclude:
-ParityParitybitsareusedforerrordetection.Paritybitsareusuallyaddedtothebeginningorendofa
binarycodestringandindicateifthenumberofbitsisevenorodd.
-EvenParityEvenparitybitsmakesurethatthereisanevennumberofbitsinthestring.Thebitsthathave
thevalue1arecounted.Ifthecountisalreadyeven,theparitybitvalueissetto0.Ifthecountisodd,the
evenparitybitvalueissetto1,makingthetotalcountanevennumber.
-OddParityOddparitybitsmakesurethatthereisanoddnumberofbitsinthestring.Thebitsthathave
thevalue1arecounted.Ifthecountisalreadyodd,theoddparitybitvalueissetto0.Ifthecountiseven,
theparitybitvalueissetto1,makingthetotalcountanoddnumber.
-FacilityCodeFacilitycodesaresometimesusedforverifyingthatthetokenmatchesthefacility’saccess
controlsystem.Oftenalltokensissuedforasinglefacilityhavethesamefacilitycode.
-CardNrThecardnumberbinarydataisencodedasintegernumbersineitherlittleendianbyteorder
