CreateandEditAccessSchedules

Accessschedulesareusedtodenegeneralrulesforwhendoorscanandcannotbeaccessed.Theyarealsousedtodenerulesfor

whengroupscanandcannotaccessthedoorsinthesystem.Formoreinformation,seeAccessScheduleTypesonpage25.

Tocreateanewaccessschedule:

1.GotoAccessManagement.

2.IntheAccessSchedulestab,clickAddnewschedule.

3.IntheAddaccessscheduledialog,entertheschedulename.

4.Tocreatearegularaccessschedule,selectAdditionSchedule.

Ortocreateasubtractionschedule,selectSubtractionSchedule.

Thedoorcontrollerhasafewpredenedcommonlyusedaccessschedulesthatcanbeusedasexamplesormodiedas

required.However,thepredenedaccessscheduleAlwayscannotbemodiedordeleted.

AccessScheduleTypes

Therearetwotypesofaccessschedules:

•Additionschedule–Regularaccessschedulesthatdenewhendoorscanbeaccessed.Typicaladditionschedulesare

ofcehours,businesshours,afterhours,ornighttimehours.

•Subtractionschedule–Exceptionstoregularaccessschedules.Theyaregenerallyusedtorestrictaccessduringaspecic

timeperiodthatoccurswithinthetimeperiodofaregularschedule(additionschedule).Forexample,subtraction

schedulescanbeusedtodenyusersaccesstothebuildingduringpublicholidaysthatoccuronweekdays.

Bothtypesofaccessschedulescanbeusedattwolevels:

•Identicationtypeschedules–Determinewhenandhowreadersgrantusersaccesstoadoor.Eachidentication

typemustbeconnectedtoanaccessschedulethattellsthesystemwhentograntusersaccesswiththatparticular

identicationtype.Multipleadditionschedulesandsubtractionschedulescanbeaddedtoeachidenticationtype.

•Groupschedules–Determinewhen,butnothow,membersofagrouparegrantedaccesstoadoor.Eachgroupmustbe

connectedtooneormoreaccessschedulesthattellthesystemwhentograntitsmembersaccess.Multipleaddition

Groupschedulescanrestrictentryaccessrightsbutnotextendentryorexitaccessrightsbeyondwhattheidenticationtype

schedulesallow.Inotherwords,ifanidenticationtypeschedulerestrictsentryorexitaccessatcertaintimes,agroupschedule
