ARP/Ping

Theproduct’sIPaddresscanbeassignedusingARPandPing.Forinstructions,seeAssignIPAddressUsingARP/Pingonpage44.

TheARP/Pingserviceisenabledbydefaultbutisautomaticallydisabledtwominutesaftertheproductisstarted,orassoonasanIP

addressisassigned.Tore-assignIPaddressusingARP/Ping,theproductmustberestartedtoenableARP/Pingforanadditional

twominutes.

Todisabletheservice,gotoSetup>AdditionalControllerConguration>SystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Basicandclear

theoptionEnableARP/PingsettingofIPaddress.

Pingingtheproductisstillpossiblewhentheserviceisdisabled.

AssignIPAddressUsingARP/Ping

Theproduct'sIPaddresscanbeassignedusingARP/Ping.Thecommandmustbeissuedwithin2minutesofconnectingpower.

1.AcquireafreestaticIPaddressonthesamenetworksegmentasthecomputer.

2.Locatetheserialnumber(S/N)ontheproductlabel.

3.Openacommandpromptandenterthefollowingcommands:

ping-s408<IPaddress>

6.Openabrowserandtypehttp://<IPaddress>intheLocation/Addresseld.
