Readers

1.Ifareaderwillbeused,selectReaderandthenselecttheoptionsthatmatchthereader’scommunicationprotocol.

2.Ifarequesttoexit(REX)devicesuchasabutton,sensor,orpushbarwillbeused,selectREXandthenselecttheoption

thatmatcheshowtheREXdevice’scircuitswillbeconnected.

Ifthedoorshallremainlockeduntiltheusermanuallyunlocksandopensthedoor,selectRequiremanualunlock.

3.IfconnectingmorethanonereaderorREXdevicetothedoorcontroller,dotheprevioustwostepsagainuntileach

readerorREXdevicehasthecorrectsettings.

Thefollowingoptionsforreadersareavailable:

•Wiegand–SelectforreadersthatuseWiegandprotocols.

•RS485halfduplex–SelectforRS485readerswithhalfduplexsupportandthenselecttheRS485protocolthatis

supportedbythereader.Seethemanufacturer’sinformationaboutwhichprotocolthereadersupports.

•RS485fullduplex–SelectforRS485readerswithfullduplexsupportandthenselecttheRS485protocolthatissupported

bythereader.Seethemanufacturer’sinformationaboutwhichprotocolthereadersupports.

ThefollowingoptionsforREXdevicesareavailable:

•Activelow–SelectifactivatingtheREXdeviceclosesthecircuit.

•Activehigh–SelectifactivatingtheREXdeviceopensthecircuit.

•Requiremanualunlock–Selectifthedoorshallremainlockeduntiltheusermanuallyunlocksandopensthedoor.The

doorforcedopenalarmwillnotbetriggeredaslongastheuseropensthedoorwithintheaccesstime.Deselectifthedoor

shallunlockautomaticallywhentheuseractivatestheREXdevice.

Ifthedoorcontrollerhasonlybeenconguredwithonedoorbeforeitisupgradedtormware1.15orlaterfromrmware

1.10,Requiremanualunlockwillbenon-selectableatrst.TomakeRequiremanualunlockselectable,gotoSetup>

HardwareCongurationandclickResetandstartanewhardwareconguration.Thensetuptherulesforthedoors

connectedtothedoorcontrollerandaddthemtogroups,seeDoors.

VerifytheHardwareConnections

Whenthehardwareinstallationandcongurationiscomplete,andanytimeduringthedoorcontroller’slifetime,youcanverifythe

functionoftheconnecteddoormonitors,locksandreaders.

Toverifythecongurationandaccessthevericationcontrols,gotoSetup>HardwareConnectionVerication.
