AXIS 70U/7000 User’s Guide Configuring the AXIS 70U/7000
17
The table below provides an overview of the supported protocol settings
describing both purpose and function:
Specifying Destinations
A destination is defined as an e-mail address created either automatically or
manually.
Specifying a Destination Automatically
Specify a destination automatically by referencing a list of e-mail addresses
on an LDAP server. Refer to Specifying the Network Settings (above) for
details.
E-mail destinations can also be designated as either permanent or temporary.
Notes:
Specifying a Destination Manually
1. Click Destinations. The table lists the currently available destinations. If
you allow users to add temporary e-mail destinations, these will appear at
the top of this table.
2. Click Make Permanent only if you want to make a temporary e-mail
destination permanent. The Make Permanent button will only appear if
there are temporary destinations available.
Protocol setting Purpose and function

retrieve the user identification from an external or internal account. See
the help files for details.

All destination names are displayed on the AXIS 70U/7000 message display, regardless of
whether they are loaded automatically or manually. However, only manually loaded e-mail des-
tinations are shown in the AXIS 70U/7000 Destinations page.
